Evitando que arquivos .PDF sejam visualizados diretamente no Chrome

Eu sei que para muita gente isso é uma baita funcionalidade do Google Chrome. Mas para mim representa um grande retrocesso esta questão de o Chrome visualizar automaticamente arquivos com extensão .PDF no navegador. Em grande parte, minha questão com isso se relaciona ao fato de que o controle do arquivo PDF se perde, você tem mais dificuldades para manuseá-lo e salvá-lo por exemplo.

Enfim… Se você, como eu, quer salvar os documentos ao invés de abrí-los para ter mais controle, o caminho é este:

  1. acesse: chrome://plugins/
  2. procure por “Chrome PDF viewer” e clique em “Disable”
  3. pronto! agora você tem mais controle sobre como o navegador lida com estes arquivos e poderá salvá-los com mais facilidade

before anything else: do not show the results above the screen “fold”;
then, you must hide the original search term from the main search
input field (1);
do not forget to show number of results! but do it in a very distant
location (2). it will be best if its located away from the actual
title of the page’s content;
mess up with the user’s head when dealing with buttons (3). you must
mess with the user’s mental order of the buttons functions and -
obviously – with the function / model / style of the buttons aswell.

if you do not comprehend these instructions, you will fail. check
